The Laser Light and Percussion Orchestra is a creative organization of Laser Light Show Artists, Drummers and Percussionists who create beautiful light and sound performances with open community participation. Playing drums, percussion instruments, and dancing, everyone is encourage to participate and enjoy the amazing bliss and unity that arises from creating beautiful music and motion together under the laser lights. We'll illuminate your event, where you'll play your drum and dance in a trance under our dazzling laser lights.
The Laser Light & Percussion Orchestra is facilitated by the Gong Goddess, Nini Gorglione.
She is a holographic artist, sonic healer, and poet, producing interactive ritual performances ~ Co-Creations in Light & Sound ~ with City Centers, oceans, deserts, and deep forests as staging areas. The Laser Percussion Orchestra is her group project. We are shamans who lift the sonic vibe of a collective percussion orchestra into regular 22nd Century tribal parts. West African drums, congas and World instruments join specially tuned tubular bells, gongs, singing bowls, horns and didgeridoos; and other sonic delights for ever-changing music during changing times. |

Here is Greg Cherry
with a few of our laser projectors. His newest laser projector manifests the best laser imagery yet. Our unique holographic grating designs create very specific symmetrical patterns and pulse rates that synchronize with the sound ~ the sheer power of beauty to uplift!
We use multicolored ion, yag and diode lasers to illuminate your sight against the sonic beats of drums and percussion trance rhythms from around the world.
The Laser Percussion Orchestra features the laser artists of Northern California - Greg Cherry and Nancy Gorglione of Universal Hologram and Cherry Optical Holography; Steve Anderson - SEAnderson; and Craig Charbonneau of Laser Dreams. We've worked together for years to create the finest laser scanning effects. Now, we come together in The Laser & Percussion Orchestra to gift you with a magnificent array of stellar beams in all colors of the rainbow.
Our drumming has been facilitated by a variety of great drummers, including Kim Atkinson and A. Camara. The Laser Percussion Orchestra always have great Bass Drummers, playing West African Djuns Djunns and Brazilian Surdos, to drive our trance dance beats. Didgeridoos, Soprano Saxophones and Tibetan Gyalings, and DJ's mixing their magic, occasionally add to the Laser & Percussion Orchestra's soundscapes. |

FESTIVAL IN THE DESERT This year, we are working to attend next winter's Tuareg Festival, Jan. 11, 12, 13, 2008, in Essakane, 50 km outside Timbuktu, Mali, West Africa. For this event, some of the West Coast tribe of drummers will humbly attempt playing West Coast tribal music: Techno meets West African and World drumming. Pictures Above: Rhythms of Light Drummers and non drummers alike created a sonic sanctuary criss-crossed with laser beams. Music facilitated by Kim Atkinson with Laura Barry; Nancy Gorglione on gongs. We had a great staging area, thanks to the Open Mind Open Space Warehouse at 400 Morris St. And the drums!
