One-of-a-Kind Reflection Hologram Composites
Reflection Hologram Composites are unique compositions of multicolored
reflection holograms on glass plates. The individual holograms are arranged
together to form overall scenes of great depth and beauty.
These composited windows into the holographic world are created by Nancy
Gorglione through careful thought and planning.
She originates the holograms by creating multiple holographic masters of the
initial subjects. These master images are often derived from her original
sculpture and artwork. The holographic masters are then transferred by the
artist to image-plane reflection holograms, which are arranged together to
compose the completed art pieces.
The finished Reflection Hologram Composites present an integrated picture
designed to tell a story. The flow of the three-dimensional imagery from
hologram to hologram is created for maximum interplay between objects, varying
dimensions and deep space. Lush with exotic colors, these holograms capture
rhythmical patterns of light, texture and form in compositions akin to music.
The artist is currently attempting
to place her One-of-a-Kind Holograms in museums, institutions and major
collections.

These one-of-a-kind artworks create scenes of lasting sensory appeal.
Quite
large for holographic art, Nancy Gorglione's composite holograms are fine arts'
pieces for the serious holographic collector and exhibitor. They are in private
collections and museums worldwide.
The individual holograms within the composites represent the finest in
holographic technology, and are carefully designed for a wide angle of view from
a single illumination light. The glass holograms are mounted together onto a
specially prepared backing and attractively framed. The processes involved are
difficult and time consuming; the artist is able to produce only a very limited
quantity of unique hologram composites. Their originality, command of the media,
and intrinsic beauty mark them as interesting investments of accruing visual
interest.
These holograms are available with lighting, ready for installation.

- The reclining nude
represents the element of Fire, while a projecting Pegasus
represents Air. A sense of holographic motion of air flows
through the piece. 18"X33"

The River
The flow of a river is
presented in lush blues and turquoise imagery. Faces float by the
viewer, or are submerged under holographic water. The
colors of this holographic compositeare extremely difficult to achieve
within the holographic media. 33"X41"
The Border and background page pictures are
close-ups from The River.

Sexus
An abstract
expressionist holographic composite presents the abstraction of a woman, adorned with
flowers. She's laughing at some obvious archetypal icons representing a man.
This is a really strong piece aesthetically, inviting a tactile
visceral response. 23"X21"

Nightmare (One & Two)
This
composite was motivated by despair at the Oil Wars in the Mid East.
The demise of civilizations brought about by warfare states, Ancient
Rome, Egypt, Greece, is reflected within the nightmare imagery. The
architectural projections of shadowed columns represent the beauty and
achievement of the heights of civilization. The horse skulls recollect
Picasso's Guernica.
This is a huge
piece for reflection holography, all clearly visible to the viewer.
Incredible metallic colors. Poetry written holographically presages
Gorglione's later involvement in poetry and fiction: On the wings
of dreams the soul takes flight. Mortal man prefers to fight. 31"X76" (31"X38" each piece)

Journey
This reflection hologram pictures a
projecting central knight in armor with sword outstretched. The
surrounding images tell the multidimensional story of the knight's
journey to enlightenment. War is represented by a projecting cannon. A Tibetan mask
of Mahakala, an important protective deity, scowls at the
viewer. Above the knight, ladders float aloft blue mountains into space,
representing the steps to enlightenment. An ivy covered door symbolizes
the knight's free will. Beside the door, winter trees grow to obscure old
bones, denoting the soul's cycles of birth, death and rebirth. A
glittering waterfall behind snow covered trees portrays the beauty and
force of nature. 36"X48" |

All of Flesh is Flowers
The geometric
shapes of cut holograms appear to be three dimensional, Within each
cut hologram, true three-dimensional imagery includes pulsed holographic images of a reclining nude juxtaposed amongst grass and flowers.
Very sensual 3-Dimensional cubist cut-hologram piece, unique. 9"X11"

Tactile
The viewer is invited
to experience the sense of holographic touch through the interplay of
kinetic paisley patterns, cacti and velvety roses in this highly diffractive
piece. A pioneer piece that was a forerunner to holographic

Race Horses after
Muybridge gallop with kinetic motion across richly colored fields.
Horses hidden by holographic parallax race off the edges of the

see the hidden images. The Race Horse's Dream, of course, is to win. 16"X30"
